TERRACED FIELDS
Upper House, Hong Kong | 2010
Mixed Media
This project is inspired by the natural contour lines and sloped planes of terraced fields. By segmenting the artwork into six pieces, then placing them side by side again, we recreate the different heights and levels of terraces. The stepped levels are also further enhanced by the concave shape of the screen. With a variety of vibrant gold and silver contour lines, coupled with the interior lighting, these screens give incredible depth to the space. Over 4 meters tall, these graceful screens also act perfectly as functional space dividers.
