The Ginkgo biloba tree is an extraordinary living fossil that has been essentially unchanged for more than 200 years; an inspiring species that has survived since the age of dinosaurs. In this mixed media artwork, we celebrate the beauty and longevity of Ginkgo, the journey it has made through China and across the world over the centuries. Delicately gilded with gold leafing, we hand paint ginkgo leaves falling off the tree elegantly, naturally flowing across the panels and into the interior as guests walk through the corridor.
